The diseases that cause most deaths are known as silent killers. These include cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, and cancer. Since 1994, COHA has provided free education and screenings to over 10,000 Mississippians.

Goal:

Promote healthier living by increased awareness

Objective:

Provide free education and screenings to the underserved.

Action Plan:

  • Form sub-committees to take on different aspects of the summit
  • Monthly meetings of the chairs of the sub-committee to monitor progress

  • Seek good location(s) for the fair(s)
  • Involve the media for publicity
  • Seek donors for door prizes
  • Provide other activities that would lure whole families to the fair
