Mississippi 's health issues need to be brought to the forefront of policy makers.

Goal:

To bring about statewide increased preventive activities in order to improve Mississippi health.

Objective:

Organize an effective committee of health care workers and community leaders.

Action

Recruit effective community, and health care leaders

• Identify key health components that impede health in the state
• Formulate effective solutions to health ‘plaques'
• In collaboration with legislator(s), put together a bill to be considered by the legislators for funding/ and or implementation
• Involve the media for publicity and public support
• Involve the Governor and other legislative leaders
